Flora's Walk for Perinatal Mental Health: A Regional Strategy is Needed

This spring, our region will come together in advocacy and collaboration to plan steps forward to improve and enhance perinatal mental healthcare for our community. The Women and Children's Health Network (WCHN) has a growing and dedicated Perinatal Mental Health Task Force and we are seeking your help!

On the first Wednesday of May, the Network will be participating in Flora's 2024 Walk in Barrie to raise funds to support our regional perinatal mental health strategy. We kindly ask that you please consider joining our Network's team and walk alongside us on May 1st and/or consider donating to our important cause.

Transitioning Advocacy into Action.

On May 29th, a group of stakeholders from across our region will come together to delve into the perinatal mental health evidence and take steps forward to better service our community. This is an important, yet under-serviced area of healthcare. Flora's story tells us that we need to do better, and we cannot have anyone fall through the cracks. On May 29th, we will learn, listen, and strategize ways to increase access to care. The result will be a Central Region North Perinatal Mental Health road map outlining specific and actionable changes for our community.
